Winners, please email jhammer (at) andersonville (dot) org to let us know where we can mail your prizes. Thanks for letting us know how you celebrate the special ladies in your lives!

This morning, I celebrated GALentines Day by having brunch with 15 of my girlfriends at Ann Sather. Good food, good conversation, and lots of laughs (as well as quite a few yawns...I won't get up at 6:00am for just anyone).

If you don't know what GALentines Day is, check out this clip from Parks and Recreation that explains everything.

So today, when you tell us how you like to celebrate your ladyfriends in Andersonville, you'll be entered to win some great prizes!

We are giving away:

A $50 gift certificate to Presence - This women's clothing boutique is one of my go-to places for great accessories & cute clothing. Scarves or cocktail rings from their huge selection are some of my favorite gifts for friends, sisters-in-law, and moms.

A $50 gift certificate to Deana Rose Handmade Jewelry - Deana Rose's handmade, beaded creations (found online, in her studio, or at the Andersonville Galleria) are perfect for any special occasion. She also has a gorgeous line of lockets and sterling pendants that I want to wear all the time.

A hat & scarf from Mr. & Mrs. DIGZ - This boutique on Andersonville's north side carries a gorgeous selection of vintage and gently used clothing, high-end designer consignment, as well as new and handmade items from exclusive local designers. With such a wide range of items and many different price points, Mr. & Mrs. DIGZ is sure to have something that will want to come home with you!

  1. My girlfriends and I love popping into Presence to do some shopping, then head to Ombra for wine and tapas :)

  2. I celebrate with my GALS in Andersonville by attending Hop Leaf for dinner, checking out and trying on clothes at Presence and then attending PHcomedy club for a late night show. Ladies nights are the best in Andersonville!

  3. My girls and I celebrate by getting cocktails at ACRE!

  4. I would celebrate with my best gal friends by first doing some shopping at Presence and Akira, then stop into 2x10 Nails for a mani, and end the night with dinner and drinks at Tapas Las Ramblas!

  5. And I just liked Presence on Facebook. One of my absolute favorite places to shop!

  6. We celebrate by doing a little shopping at Haymakers and stop for a treat at Forever yogurt . Then we head into galleria for a gift or two and drinks at Hopleaf!

  7. My GFs and I love to go in to Brasserie 54 on weekend afternoons, when the bar is quiet, and drink craft cocktails and dive into one of Chef Ben's charcuterie plates.

  9. Swedish pancakes at Svea followed by mani/pedi at the Nail Lounge! (Of course stopping in and out of all the shops on the walk up Clark - particularly Brimfield, Scout, Haymaker and Roost) Perfect start to a relaxing weekend with girlfriends!

  10. How about an afternoon shopping up and down Clark, with lunch at First Slice and a pick me up caffeine break at Kopi?

  11. Connect w/ our inner spirit at Yoga Tree, followed by lunch date at Lady Gregory's, then vintage shopping on Clark St (hitting up Brown Elephant, Brimfield's, Brownstone, and more!)

  12. I love to barhop with my gals. Start at Hopleaf, grab a couple more at Lady Gregory's, and then hang at Simon's until bartime. Glogg!

  13. I love taking my ladies friends to Joie de Vine on Balmoral ave. or going to Hopleaf for yummy mussels. Also, if we all have a bit more money buying some wine and beers at Andersonville liquor and eating sushi at Ora.

  14. Hopleaf, because ladies can drink beer too!

  15. We celebrate at Hopleaf, but I never call anyone "ladyfriends."
