Loyola Offers Community Aquatics Classes

This spring Loyola University will offer swimming and Red Cross classes for adults and children at their Lake Shore Campus. Opportunities for getting involved include participation in lessons, skills assessments and swimming passes. Lessons range from beginner classes to advanced swimming and technique classes. For individuals uncertain of which course they would like to register, there is an optional in-water assessment ($15) with a trained instructor.

Loyola will also offer standard and advanced First Aid and situation specific emergency classes. These classes include workplace safety skills, Lifeguard training and water safety instructor courses. Classes are generally completed in one day.

Spring Session II for aquatics classes starts the second week of March. The deadline for registration is four (4) days prior to the start of any class. All activities take place at the Halas Sports Center. Visit the Loyola University Halas Sports Center website for more information about programs and lesson schedules.
